Event Details

The Summits in Richmond and Roanoke VA have already taken place, but plans are being made for the first quarter of 2010 to bring this summit to new areas of the state and to repeat the successes of the first two events. The crowds were responsive and engaged, and left the keynote addresses with more knowledge about the REAL healthcare revolution underway now: Consumer-Driven, and backed by HSA’s. The two speakers for these events were Greg Scandlen and Roy Ramthun.
Greg Scandlen is a senior fellow of The Heartland Institute and founder of Consumers for Healthcare Choices, a non-partisan, non-profit organization aimed at helping consumers make good choices with their healthcare. He testifies frequently before the United States Congress on healthcare insurance matters and has appeared on national programs such as the O’Reilly Factor, NBC Nightly News, ABC News and CNN.
Roy Ramthun is the President of HSA Consulting Services, a healthcare consulting practice specializing in Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and consumer-driven healthcare issues. Mr. Ramthun was the senior health policy advisor to President George W. Bush regarding healthcare issues involving the Internal Revenue Service (primarily Health Savings Accounts), Medicare, Medicaid and the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.
